The Team

Darkstorm Multimedia Studios is primarily a one-man operation, but I've gotten a lot of help from some other folks who've contributed their artistic, musical, vocal, and acting talent.

Banana-nana-Ninja was created, written, and animated by me -- Umbrascitor! The erratic art style I've used is a hodgepodge of vector-based drawings in Flash, digitally colored pen-and-paper sketches, photos, "cartoonized" photos, and live video. Most of the sound effects were obtained from royalty-free sources such as FlashKit and Soundsnap, but I also recorded a bunch of my own foley and even made a few snazzy SFX myself.

All of the music featured in Banana-nana-Ninja was created by "Joe Nemo," a coworker from my day job (yes, I have a day job). Joe moonlights as a DJ, usually in the vicinity of Portland, OR. Aside from DJ-ing, he produces his own variety of techno, trip-hop, and progressive house tracks, and has made several original tracks for Banana-nana-Ninja. He is signed with SubSensory Recordings, and you can check out some of his stuff on his MySpace page.

This website is the handiwork of Brandi Linn. See all the snazziness surrounding you? She did it, and this is the first website she's ever built. Impressive, aye? She also contributes the occasional bit of artwork, texture, or voice for the cartoon itself.
